Snogo in the Wild
Dear Snogo Fam,
Family can be complicated. Reunions… even more so. Sometimes you show up out of obligation, sometimes out of curiosity, and every now and then, the universe drops someone in your path to remind you that connection can come from the most unexpected places.
This week’s Snogo In The Wild comes from Houston, where one of our own found a spark, not with family history, but with something way better.

So I’m in Houston, already sweating through my outfit because the humidity here is literally disrespectful… and I’m at this family reunion with people I basically only know from Facebook tags. I’m not close with my family, but I pulled up anyway, guilt, brisket, and honestly? Curiosity.
I’m doing my thing, staying on the shady side of the yard, when I notice him, some very distant cousin whose name I swear I heard three different ways. And around his neck? Catching the sun like it owns the place?
A SNOGO. On. A. Necklace.
Bold. Confident. Zero shame in his game.
I’m like… okayyyy, king. Because mine? Mine’s chilling in my pocket, exactly where I keep it. So I walk over, we do that awkward “hey… cousin?” half-hug, and then I open my hand and show mine.
We clock each other’s SNOGOs at the same time.
Instant vibe. Instant “oh, you’re my people.”
Forget the DNA. This was a Snogo-level connection. Suddenly we’re comparing finishes, flexing accessories, trading stories, talking life, parties, the whole thing. We bonded harder over those straws than we did over anyone’s sentimental pictures.
And honestly? It made the whole weekend worth it.
Sometimes the family you’re not even close to still manages to surprise the hell out of you, especially when they show up wearing a SNOGO like it’s a family heirloom.

Love it Mia. Snogo, it’s something that connects you to your people. I can attest. Whether they’re old friends, new friends, or in this case, cousins you barely remembered existed.
Big Love,
